Turn your pool from an eyesore into the highlight of your yard
Acid washing is a complex job that requires proper training and experience
Proper assessment of the pool service is crucial
It takes A LOT of experience to know whether or not a pool’s surface can even be acid washed. For this type of job, we only send our best repair technicians to make sure that the surface of the pool is in a condition that’s able to have the service done. In most cases, it IS ok to acid wash your pool; however, in the case that it’s not you don’t want an inexperienced person telling you that “it’s fine, I do this all the time”.
What an acid wash includes
The process of acid washing your pool is relatively simple, but not easy to do right. It involves draining your pool, fulling washing down any debris from the surface to ensure that the acid wash does not turn out spotty or streaky, and carefully diluting a muriatic acid solution with proper safety equipment that will be poured evenly down the side walls/bottom of the pool.
Before and after photos that will blow you away
We fully document the process, taking high quality before and after photos so that you can visibly see how much of a difference the wash actually made. This also ensures that the original condition of the surface of the pool is kept for both our records and yours.

The acid washing process in detail
Play by play of what it looks like
We take acid washing a pool very seriously, for good reason! First and foremost, we want you and your family to be safe. Having a proper standard operating procedure allows the process to go smoothly every time.
First step is to drain the pool
After we’ve taken a look at the pool and made sure it’s able to be acid washed, one of our amazing crew members will come out and start the draining process, usually in the late afternoon or evening to minimize sun exposure to the dry surface of the pool. It generally takes anywhere from 8-24 hours to fully drain the pool, depending on the size.
The next morning after draining
We like to get acid washes done and have the pool refilling as soon as possible the next day. This doubles down on minimal sun exposure to the surface of your pool when it’s dry to avoid cracking the surface. An experienced repair technician will sometimes bring an extra hand the next morning and start bringing in all of the necessary safety equipment/chemicals to get the acid washing process started.
Safety precautions and the acid wash process
When our crew is fully set up and ready to start the wash, we text/call/knock to make sure that no one comes outside while we are pouring the chemicals. We are equipped with proper gloves, masks, and boots to ensure that we are safe. Feel free to watch safely from a window, but make sure any kids and pets stay inside until we let you know that it is safe to come out again.

All Services We OfferRarely. Oftentimes it can increase the life of the surface by removing hard mineral buildup that can eventually penetrate the surface. Although it is a mostly aesthetic service, there are definitely benefits to doing it outside of just looks.
Typically it takes around 2-3 hours to complete the process after we arrive.
After each pour, we dilute the acid after washing it down to the pump – we continue to dilute the acid throughout the process, and then at the end, when we’re done rinsing, we add a neutralizer to the diluted acid to ensure that it doesn’t affect your pipes. The neutralization process also ensures that it is safe to pump to the street in cities that recommend that.
